Christmas Day at Home?! 2010

by sarahmfry, January 13, 2011
It was  little different, this year.  We were actually HOME on Christmas morning!  Maybe my first time ever.  Almost every year of my life we have gone to Kansas to be with the Wolf and Parsons families for Christmas.  We would often have our little family Christmas with our kids on Epiphany (Jan. 6) after all the other Christmasing.

But my Grandmas are both with my Grandpas now. Grandma Wolf took flight last December and Grandma Parsons in August.  So we didn't make the annual westward journey this year.  We were home all week.   We spent a lot of time (and late nights!) being together with David's family, playing games, sitting in front of the fire.  Good stuff.  After our delightful Christmas Eve in the Windy City, we had a wonderful Christmas morning snuggled in at home with the kids.  We spent the week after Christmas with my (Sarah's) family in Cincinnati.

It was nice to be home-sweet-home.

Excited Boy!

Some Christmas morning happy-dancin'

Karissa, the ballerina blur....

And then there's this.....so elegant, Love.

After the dancing.....
And lots of vigorous present-shaking....

Daddy finally read the Christmas story....

Bow and Arrow!!

Tons of Tools!

And of course....Horses!

Reading up on Thomas and the gang....

After our little family Christmas we headed to Uncle Dan and Aunt Gwen's house for a Fry Christmas Day dinner.  It was a wonderful time, but I got there without my camera....
It was a great day.
