PDF file experiment & Impatient Creativity

I just downloaded a PDF add-on and am trying it out. Bear with me.

Ok. It's official. I'm a doofus. Any help out there from the non-doofus readership? Can I link to a pdf file saved on my computer?

By the way, speaking of doofusness....I'm really overwhelmed with Photoshop. I'm not saying I can't figure it out (not giving up...), I'm saying that I'm ticked that it has to take so honkin' LONG to figure it out! (Grrrrr, and other grouchy words.)

Maybe it would help if I spent more than 10 minutes and read a tutorial or something....ya think?

I admit, I just wish I could open * click * and create! Not so with photoshop, eh?

Unless you're working with your own server you need to save it somewhere online. You can't link directly to your computer unless you're always connected (through your own server). Because if I come along and click the link, I can't get "in" to your files to see what it's pointing to. (That's a good thing :) you don't want people poking around your computer.)
There are a lot of storage places online, so the easiest thing to do is upload it to one of those and link from there.

*Disclaimer: I have no real authority to speak from! Only personal experience.

I like The Pioneer Women Photography. She has basic instructions for Photoshop and also has some cool free actions.I don't have Photoshop but am hoping to get it soon. http://thepioneerwoman.com/photography/

Also speaking from experience, I have found that what the Lazy Philosopher has said is true.

What Patty said is true, also. I love Pioneer Woman and was able to toss my "Photoshop for Dummies" aside once I found her blog. I promise, it gets easier! Keep working at it!

Oh, do you have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements (the baby version)?

I've just learned Photoshop by using it. I still call the gurus (Kevin Moser and Jon Plank) occasionally to figure something out, but 90% of my knowledge has come from just messing around with the tools.

I have the baby version, of course. And if I would have shucked out the money for the big version I probably would be tossing it in the river right now!

Maybe I'll get the motivation to actually work on it from the pioneer lady.

I gotta call Nelda and have her come tutor me.

And thanks for the pdf advice, Cerys!
