Wolf Christmas - Jan 1, 2011

Just a few pics of our Christmas in Cincy with Mom & Dad Wolf...

Dad and his new HO engine - it does amazing things, but I can't remember what it's called.

Caiden and his stocking plunder

Garen loves pictures.  And his wife's new crock pot makes a lovely ottoman.

David enjoyed having the time over break to finish reading The Brothers Karamazov - all 702 pages of it!  I enjoyed hearing the condensed version as he read.

One of our favorite quotes from the book:

"You must know that there is nothing higher and stronger and more wholesome and good for life in the future than some good memory, especially a memory of childhood, of home.  People talk to you a great deal about your education, but some good, sacred memory, preserved from childhood, is perhaps the best education.  If a man carries many such memories with him into life, he is safe to the end of his days, and if one has only one good memory left in one's heart, even that may sometimes be the means of saving us."........(These quotes are so much richer in context) and "Hurrah for Karamazov!"

Ha Ha!  I just realized that he had his stocking in one hand and the book in the other.  Looks like the book was winning for the moment.

 Dad's Electric HO train layout.
That's a lot of directions, Dad! Oh my.

The awesome new engine in action...

Right down below where Dad is in this picture, he has set up a second "secret" level of working trains for the kids that they can run themselves.
